Protect Duty (Martyn’s Law)

There is currently no legislative requirement for organisations or venues to consider or employ security measures at the vast majority of public places to ensure preparedness and protection in the event of a terrorist attack.

However, that may change with the introduction of legislation in the form of the Protect Duty (Martyn’s Law). We can help you now only prepare for new legislation but demonstrate to your stakeholders that you are proactively working with industry experts in preparing for the future. Such as Actions cards and exercises to prepare staff to ‘lock down’ and ‘in-vacuate’ securing staff and customers within a workplace to protect them from external threats. Training in traumatic injuries caused by bladed weapons, blast or ballistics and preventing catastrophic blood loss are all outside a standard First Aid at Work program. 312 can provide immersive training from specialist paramedics to give your staff the confidence as well as the competence to manage extreme threats.

The risk

What is the risk of not preparing and training properly, without governance in place that has been reviewed by independent experts?

Looking today at tomorrow’s threats may not only save lives but save your organisation from money loss and reputation damage in the future.

312 can not only provide the specialist support for not only standard fire and health and safety issues, but with our team of experts look through and beyond to the emerging threats and what impact they would have on your sector.

Preparing you for the worst

312 can provide your organisation with specialist insight from the UK’s blue light services managers who may be called to respond to an emergency, critical event or incident at your place of work.

Their input into your risk assessments, response plans, action cards, training and communication systems can help to ensure a seamless and efficient response to any incident to deliver the best outcome for you, your organisation and your stakeholders.
